Meta-analysis of the effects of Rhizobia inoculants and phosphorus fertilizer on soybean nodulation in Africa

Soybean has the potential to bring significant benefits in diversified cropping systems, which could help restructuring soil fertility and allow smallholders increase grain yield. Rhizobium inoculation improves biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) legume crops assists resource-poor farmers yield at lower financial costs. The efficacy of symbiotic bacteria on legumes can also be improved through supplementation phosphorus fertilizer. In this work, a meta-analysis 29 peer-reviewed studies was performed understand effects various Rhizobium strains phosphate fertilizer application soybean nodules.  Results showed that Rhizobium inoculation highly effective increasing number nodules, nodule dry weight, shoot weight. Application increased overall due BNF processes by Rhizobia. main both Rhizobium inoculation resulted moving yields 1.67 t ha-1 and 1.95 ha-1, respectively. Furthermore, interaction of Rhizobium inoculants led relatively higher (2.51 ha-1). Therefore, African were advised adopt Rhizobium inoculation fields concomitantly application, improve productivity   Key words:  Phosphorus number, shoots yield.&nbsp
